Getting Started

Starting your work in Workgroups Portal requires that you first log in. To Log In, you will need the following:

A recent version of a supported web browser (IE, Firefox, Safari)

The URL for logging in to the Workgroups Portal web server (provided to you by the Administrator)

A user name and password (provided to you by the Administrator)

If you have not been provided with this information, please contact the Workgroups Portal Administrator.

Logging in to Workgroups Portal

  1. Type the URL for the Workgroups Portal web server in the address bar of your web browser and click Go/press Return/Enter. The web browser will connect to the Workgroups Portal web server and display the login page.

  1. Type your user name in the User Name/Email field. Your user name should have been provided to you by the Administrator.

Note: Approval Manager Collaborative Users will use their email address.

  1. Type your password in the Password field. Your password should have been provided to you by the Administrator.
  2. Optional: Enable the "Remember me" checkbox to have Workgroups Portal remember your login credentials.

Note: You should not enable the "Remember me" checkbox if you cannot control access to your computer or you are logging in from a public computer.

  1. Click Login. This will check your login information and, if valid, will open the default Workgroups Portal home page assigned for your account. For information on setting your default Workgroups Portal login page, please refer to the Changing Preferences section of this guide.

Once you have successfully logged in to Workgroups Portal, you can begin your work. If this is the first time logging in to Workgroups Portal, you may want to change your password and/or set some of your personal user preferences. For more information on this, please refer to the Changing Preferences section of this guide.
