New Job Form

New Jobs may be created automatically by the creation of a folder in the file system (for locations monitored by InterSync) or they may be created manually by using the New Job Form.

Field Description

The New Job Form comes predefined with the following fields. Due to the highly customizable nature of forms, these may differ from the actual form used in your environment.

Archiving On

The date on which the file or folder(s) corresponding to the Job can be archived. On this date, the digital resource will appear in the Archiving Queue.

Archiving Status

Archiving status of the Job. By default, new Jobs created in Production Folders will have a status of “Production”. This field cannot be edited by users.

Customer Code

The code identifying the customer for which the Job will be developed.

Customer Name

The name identifying the customer for which the Job will be developed.

Folder Name

The name of the folder, based on the Job Number and Job Name fields. This field does not get populated until the form is completed. It cannot be manually edited by users.

Job Assigned To

The user the job has been assigned to. This can be selected from the list or manually typed in.

Job Name

The name of the job for which the digital resource was developed.

Job Number

The unique job number assigned to the project.

Job Subfolder

Subfolders beneath the current job folder/directory. These will be automatically created in the file system when the form is completed and digital resources added to the database.

Keywords

Keywords associated with the job can be added here. Multiple keywords can be separated with a comma (“,”).

Location

The location of the job folder.

Notes

Notes associated with the job can be added here.

Today

Sets today’s date in the Archiving On field.
